I give them a nice, low four... But not three stars. This is like... Hawaiian fast food. It seemed to be a place where locals and real Hawaiian folks eat at. I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp and it came with eight warm shrimps covered with garlic and cilantro. It was served with two scoops of rice and modest macaroni salad. My group also ordered a burger which they said was "OK". The prices though, were very good for this part of the island. Nice traditional dining.

Stopped by this place, at 6:05am for breakfast. Sign on window says 6am open, so I walk in. I say good morning to the female worker who is inside, and she doesnt say a word. I look at the menu, then walk up the counter to order. She comes over and says, we open in 5 minutes. I turn and walk out. Guess I taking my business to the place down the sidewalk.

Total hole in the wall, Great food. Large portions. Friendly staff. Out door seating. They do the credit card but no amex. Breakfast lunch and dinner. I had kaulua pork bowl. Yum. And another time bbq combo. Both excellent

Small, local dive. The BBQ chicken bowl and Healthy chicken plate were great. The staff there are not friendly and the ordering process can be cumbersome to say the least. Good, healthy food though!

I don't understand the bad reviews of this place. I've been all over the islands and to many L&L's and I think there food is among the best. On a recent trip, my husband had the Loco Moco, which he loved and I had mahi mahi plate. There wasn't a bad thing about either dish. Will definitely be back on our next trip!

Stopped here after a 6 hour flight to Kona. The coconut shrimp was really tasty, but the chicken was only so-so. The portions were generous, and the healthy plate is a nice option, with brown rice and green salad (instead of white rice and macaroni salad). Not bad, but nothing special.

I know, this place is a chain, but hey for the money - its a great deal! We got the family style pack with the 5 scoops of mac salad, fried fish, teriyaki beef, and katsu chicken. Oh, and tons of rice. In addition we added the curry beef stew. They packed it up pretty fast and the food was good and big portions too! I liked pretty much all of it, but the stew had some weird corned beef in it instead of regular stew beef so minus 1 star for that. They packed in lots of condiments, which I love, so that was an added bonus. Definalty a calorie OVERLOAD, but after surfing and swimming all day it was a very satisfying meal. Oh, and this L&L in particular is run by a Chinese family so everything seemed to have a more Chinese flare which is all good with me ;)

Love L n L but this location is not up to par . The other 2 locations near Kona town are great. Food here always just has a funny tatse to it. Not like biting a clown funny but a funny after taste

The cleanliness of the tables is something that needs to be improved. Other than that, the food was great. We ordered the #2 seafood combo, which had spare ribs, fried fish, two scoops of rice, macaroni salad, 4 tempura shrimp. We also ordered the chicken katsu combo, which also had macaroni salad and two scoops of rice. The quality of food was good, but more on the greasy side. The pricing was okay and the portions were large enough to keep me full.

Cant go wrong with this food. It is a little "fast food-ish" but the price is right and the portions are good. Teryaki and everything.

We went looking for a more local place to eat than all the touristy places, and were happy to spot an L&L. We had a very satisfying lunch: sai min noodles (dh was very happy!), katsu plate (tons of katsu, very tasty), and orange chicken (fed 2 kids, tasty and satisfying) Happy lunch break, pleasant atmosphere, regular L&L.

All these franchises I notice is ran by asians. It's sad because this is not authentic hawaiian food. Even the ones in the mainland. Go to a real hawaiian place if you want hawaiian food. I thought since i'm in Hawaii, it might be different but it's the same as the mainland. It's a shame that the quality makes is bad for the name of the business.

Good fast food. We tried a variety of their items during a two week stay. Everything was tasty and we especially liked the loco moco and the kailua pig bowl.

I was super hungover and needed to carb-load fast. L & L came through like I knew she could. Piles of rice covered in really good, cooked to order chicken and, of course, the mayo covered macaroni salad. It did the trick, and set me right, all for under $8.00!!! Thanks L & L !

Kalua pork was ok. Short ribs were good. The variety of masubis were not good at all.
